We have all the facilities that hearing impaired child needs

We are equipped with most modern and sophisticated tools for a joyful and better learning.

 

TRANSPORT

For the last 50 years, we are blessed to have MTC Buses (Government Buses) for dropping and picking up our students from different parts of the city. We have bus facilities in the below routes.

FREE EDUCATION

  • Children are provided free education. 
  • Tamil Nadu Government distributes free textbooks, notebooks, scholarships, Hearing Aids, Bus and Railway pass.

 

HOSTEL

  • Hostel facility is available for outstation students.

Group Hearing Aid to develop Residual Hearing

  1. It consists of teacher’s microphone, amplifier and headphones.
  2. The sound is converted into electric sound, amplified and reaches the control box.
  3. The amplified sound reaches the headphone and  the sound waves reaches the ear.
  4. The volume can be adjusted according to the individual needs.

 

Loop Induction System

  1. The loop induction system consists of Microphone, Amplifier, Magnetic coil and Individual hearing aid.
  2. An induction loop system transmits the audio signal into electric waves and sends to the coil.
  3. When the individual hearing aids are kept in the telecoil position (T) it picks up the magnetic field signal which is amplified and delivers directly into the ear.
  4. Both the teacher and the child can move from one place to another.
  5. Volume can be adjusted according to the child’s needs.

FM SYSTEM

  1. It consists of a microphone transmitter, a pendant receiver, a power supply unit, a mains lead and international plugs, enclosed in a padded carry case.
  2. A neck cord is supplied to enable the Microphone transmitter to be worn.
  3. Used together with the individual hearing aid instruments, Conversor Pro i.e.Pendant receiver will enable the child hear better
  4. The hearing aids must be kept in a “T” or Telecoil  position
  5. The teacher wears the Microphone and the voice is transmitted to the student’s wearing the receivers with clarity upto 25 metres away

 

Voice light

  • It is device for hearing impaired children to produce and increase the intensity of voice.
  • It has three colours of lights, red, yellow and green in order.
  • It motivates and encourages the Hearing Impaired children to use their voice by watching the lights which blinks.
  • It is a portable device.

SPEECH TRAINER

  1. It is used by a teacher to learn and understand a hearing impaired child.
  2. It increases voice pitch which could be heard by a H.I. Person.
  3. This is one of the most helpful AVT Device for a person with special needs.
  4. Inputs : Teacher’s microphone (Mic R), Student’s Mic (Mic L), CD
  5. Output : Through stereo headphones
  6. Channel Selection : Selectable combinations of headphone channels: L only, R only, both L + R
  7. Tone Controls : Stereo tone controls (frequency filters) : High pass, Low pass

 

School Ground

  • Our School Ground is  big and spacious, where many outdoor games like, volley ball, shuttle, long jump etc  are played.
  • Open stage with modern audio equipments is also there. 

Noon Meal Scheme

  • Since last 35 years, Noon Meal Scheme by the Government of Tamil Nadu  is functioning well in our school.
  • At present, 75 students are being benefitted by the healthy and nutritious food provided in it.
