About the management

Our Management i.e. the ICM congregation was founded on Nov 7, 1897 by our Foundress Sr.Marie Louise De Meester in Mulagumoodu, Kanyakumari District for the modest beginnings through the care of the orphans and technical skill training for women, opened up a whole new history of searching and a growing together. Lace-making made women economically independent and restored their dignity and hope for themselves and their families.

ICM Congregation is under the registered society of “The Society of Immaculate Heart of Mary (ICM Sisters)” at No.6, Madurai Main Road, Crawford, Trichy – 12.

Our School Little Flower Convent Hr.Sec.School for the Deaf, Chennai – 6 is under the registered Society of “The Society of Little Flower Convent (ICM Sisters)”
vide Serial Number :62/88.

Sr.A.Gemma

 

Sr.A.Gemma is our present Correspondent. Her dedication and passion for the upliftment of countless Hearing and Visual impaired students are remarkable. She always cares and guides the staff and educators with good and valuable counseling. She has been a source of inspiration for our students and provides support and guidance to overcome the challenges and achieve their full potential. Being a Correspondent, she regulates the daily activities of our school and takes necessary steps to maintain the standard of school and education . She always tries to maintain positive environment in our campus which improves the overall quality of students and teachers.

Mrs. Nirmala Rani

 

For the first time in the history of Little Flower Convent Hr.Sec.School for the Deaf, a senior staff who is working one among us has been designated to the position of Headmistress.
Mrs. Nirmala Rani our present Headmistress is a very supportive and genuinely caring person. She has a good rapport with students, and her student centered approach has brought a distinctive smile on their faces.
She is receptive to the opinions of staff and parents and reaches an equitable resolution. Under her able leadership, speech development in students is given due importance by making them wear suitable hearing aids to enhance the ability to hear and thereby improve the quality of their education

 

 

Fund Management

  • Staff Salary for the Teaching & Non-Teaching Staff sanctioned by Government and are paid by the Government of Tamil Nadu
  • The School Maintenance are met by the Local Donations and by Corporates.

State Government Aid

  • Being a Government aided School, Staff Salary are paid as per the pay commission  by Government of Tamil Nadu

  • Free Hearing Aids
  • Free Railway and Bus Pass
  • Scholarship for Hearing Impaired Children
