We have everything what a hearing impaired child need

Hearing impaired child needs special attention and special tools for learning. Right from Aachen Block with well equipped classrooms and Science Lab to Sr.Marie Louise De Meester Block with well equipped classrooms and classes for sewing,  fashion designing and  art & craft, we have everything to nourish the learning minds of the children. We have Vocational Training Centre with Computer Lab, Beautician Lab and Typewriting Room for the higher secondary girls to learn life supporting skills. We have big open Air Stage for conducting functions and sophisticated Auditorium for conducting functions inhouse. Our classrooms are equiped with Digital Smart Class and we have a dedicated training Centre to teach the Deaf.

 

AUDITORIUM

  • The auditorium in LFC is huge and spacious
  • Well lit and ventilated, with beautiful false ceiling
  • It is equipped with latest audio system, OHP, flash lights and uninterrupted power supply
  • School events and functions are often conducted in the auditorium

AUDIOMETRIC ROOM

  • Our audiometric room, is well designed with advanced technology the assessing the Hearing loss of new students.
  • It is equipped with portable audiometer, digital and clinical audiometer and also a computerised diagnostic audiometer.
  • The Hearing Aid analyzer which is fixed in the room provides quick and accurate information about how well a Hearing Aid works
  • Pure Tone and sound field (Free field) audiometric testing to assess the hearing loss

 

SMART CLASS

  • Our School has a digital Smart class which is highly equipped with Projector, White board, High Speed Internet, Laptops, table and chairs and air conditioners.
  • The students are taught lessons using interactive modules like videos and presentations which is highly appealing to students.
  • It helps the students store the information fast and more effectively.
  • It eases the learning process for our Hearing Impaired Students.

COMPUTER LAB

  • Our School has 3 Computer labs which are well equipped with desktops for each student, projector, Screen, fully furnished with air conditioners, tables & chairs, soft boards etc.
  • Students from Std.3 attend the computer classes.
  • The association stands tall as the pillars of our school.
  • Individual training by the teachers helps the students to understand and learn the concept and programmes well.

 

SCIENCE LAB

  • The exclusively designed science lab for our students is well equipped with advanced lab equipments and apparatus for giving better understanding and helps to transfer the experience to other learning situations.
  • The interactive smart board works as a virtual aid for teachers and is uniquely designed for integrated learning.

LIBRARY

  • Full fledged library with upto date books in Tamil and English is available. Children are encouraged to use the library often.

 

TABLE TENNIS COURT

  • A separate and special table tennis court is available for the students

HOME THEATRE

  • The Home Theatre in our School is facilitated with acoustics, projector, screen, air conditioners and recliners
  • Regular auditory training classes are conducted.
  • The students are highly benefitted to listen and to identify various sounds along with visual clues

 

WORKING MODELS

  • Our school provides model based teaching to understand and explore different concepts.
  • The model of a big dam and well, along with Hydro power plant, wind mill, solar panel and different types of irrigation models increase self – regulated learning in our children.
  • It is situated in front of our school building. It enhances the aesthetic beauty of the school and provides ready information to our students and also the visitors.

ART LAB

  • A beautiful and artistic room is designed exclusively for Dance and Mime.
  • A broad Mirror fixed on the wall, helps the students to correct their dance movements.
  • Modern audio equipments are installed
  • Students practice regularly to perform for cultural and other inter school activities
